American Society for Training and Development requests expanded Outlook Efficiency training

Reaction to a short, standing-room-only presentation to the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) at their recent annual meeting has resulted in a request for a longer presentation on the topic of using Outlook efficiently to reduce the volume of emails, improve communications and workflow.

On June 6, 2012, Neal Otto, owner of Jumpstart Computer Training, will be presenting a three hour mini-course in Portland called  ‘Computers, Smartphones, and Tablets –Oh MY! Outlook 2007/2010 - Tips from the trenches – Work more efficiently with today’s technology’. The presentation will be a condensation of Jumpstart’s newest course offering, Outlook Efficiency. It is open to the public.

Participants will:

  • Learn keyboard shortcuts to save time
  • Use database search tools effectively
  • Use Quick Parts to standardize communication
  • Use Quick Steps and rules to automate workflow
  • Learn techniques for writing more clear communications and how to share these with co-workers and clients
