Jumpstart believes that in order to run an ethical business, we need to be committed to sustainability by being socially and environmentally responsible and give back to the local and global communities.
Locally, Jumpstart is an easy touch for schools needing laptops and/or expertise for projects such as auctions. Jumpstart has also donated the use of computers for the Ft. Vancouver Fireworks show and a variety of other worthy causes.
Globally, Jumpstart works hard to be environmentally aware:
- Class manuals printed on demand close to the day of the class when attendance numbers are more accurate
- Class manuals printed using recycled paper
- Recycling 90% of our own waste
- Screens are LCD
- Lights are compact fluorescents, turned off when not in use
- No bottled water
- Use of public transportation and bicycles whenever possible
